Welcome to the Meersbrook Park After School Club

Who we are

We are an OFSTED registered charity set up by a group of local parents in 1995 to provide out of school care and were one of the first clubs to be awarded Charter for Playwork and Inclusion

We provide a safe, secure, stimulating and supportive environment for children during out of school hours. Based in the Community Pavilion in Meersbrook Park, we serve two schools: Carfield and Meersbrook Bank. We also support children with SEN.

The Club is run by qualified, professional playworkers overseen by a voluntary management committee made up of local parents and carers.

The Club

We are one of the most popular and longest running clubs in Sheffield.

Supporting Carfield and Meersbrook Bank Primary School’s. For children from Reception age to year 6,

We can also offer care for SEN children of this age group.

After School Club

We have a child centred approach and try to provide a broad range of activities each session catering for the different types of play .

We open Monday to Friday during term time between the hours of 3 and 6 pm

Holiday Play Scheme

We also run a Holiday Playscheme during the last 2 weeks of July providing full or half day sessions including a variety of workshops and outings.

The Team

All our team are qualified playworkers and are dedicated to providing quality care and support.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club has been operating since April 2015 from 7.30am providing healthy breakfast options and supervised play after which we escort children safely to school.

Our Aims

We work hard to make sure that the Club offers good quality, locally based, affordable and accessible out of school provision for children of all abilities in the local area.

We are a membership organisation open to all parents and carers whose children are on the register of the Club and to other people who are interested in furthering the work of the Club.

We actively encourage parents and carers to participate on the Management Committee.
